North Yorkshire County Council Community Fund
From 2011 onwards there will be no further Community
Fund Allocations.
The North Yorkshire County Council Community Fund is a grant
fund to assist Local Strategic Partnerships in North
Yorkshire to deliver their community strategies. The funding
is generated through the additional council tax levied on second
homes and is often referred to as the 'second homes fund'.
How the Community Fund 2010 was allocated
A proportion of the fund was allocated through Participatory
Budgeting through the
Voice Your Choice programme.
See the
voice your choice
page on this website for more details.
Applications were also sought for projects that met the
Community Strategy priorities of employment and skills, alcohol
harm reduction and Tackling Climate Change. The closing
date was 30 June 2010 and no new applications can be
accepted.
Applications were assessed by the North Yorkshire Coast
Community Partnership and recommendations made to the Coast
and Moors Area Committee who have the final decision making
responsibility for this fund. This Committee met on 16
September 2010 and agreed funding for the following
applications.
